Welcome to Sandstone Brewery
Hello from your newest and local micro-brewery 'Sandstone'. Sandstone
brewers philosophy is "We drink it, therefore we brew it" and over the
next few months, we will be brewing it for you.
Our signature brew 'Sandstone Edge' was very well received, which set
the pace for the introduction of our first of our Village Ale range –
‘Postman Prat’. Prat went down a storm and despite the lighter nights
setting in our orders for Prat are increasing…
Our second Village Ale, ‘Doctor’s Orders’ is now available on
prescription via certain pubs in the area. This won’t promise to cure you
of your Winter ailments but will set you on the right path for 2009.
At last Winter's over, buds are blossoming, the sun's shining and our
'Buxom Barmaid' is ready to put a Spring back into your step...

Ales Of Character
Our latest ales in production
Sandstone Edge 3.8% an aromatic session ale with
a golden straw appearance and a light bitterness
and body to the aftertaste. It is comprised of a fusion
of fuggles and goldings hops at the beginning of the
brew combined with pale, crushed malt. The sweet
smell is thanks to a handful of late cascade hops. So
get stuck in... you won't be disappointed. | more

Postman Prat 4.4% has a vibrant autumnal hue,
with a medium body and bitterness to taste. Just ripe
to warm your Winter Cockles. It is a union of three
hops, goldings, fuggles and styrian with shots of
crystal, chocolate and pale malt. Again out Head
Brewer has been pioneering, throwing in a handful of
late fuggles hops with a sniff of extra Styrian at the
end. | more
